On December 3, the Charter of Trust held its Madrid Roadshow as part of the cybersecurity event XIV STIC CCN-CERT Conference 2020, organized by the Information Security Incident Response Team of Spain's National Cryptologic Centre (CCN).
We were delighted that around 450 people attended our event, at which Lucio González Jiménez, the CyberLab Manager at SGS, gave the opening speech that discussed the Spanish Cybersecurity Strategy and supply chain problems. This was followed by a debate focused on the digital supply chain and transparency. Panelists discussed how the Charter of Trust’s 10 Principles fit with the Spanish Cybersecurity Strategy, especially in terms of unity of action, anticipation, efficiency, and resilience.
CCN and CoT’s Partners Siemens, Atos, IBM, and SGS underlined the importance of sharing information not only between large private companies, but also between companies and public entities. For a cybersecurity strategy to be successful, panelists agreed that promoting a unity of response was key. This is why cybersecurity actors should collaborate to establish common guidelines for dealing with cybersecurity threats.
CoT’s Partner SGS also contributed a presentation titled “Criminals are not waiting for Regulations: All of us need to act now!” given by Alberto Fuentes Rodríguez, SGS’s Head of Secure Products & Systems. With this, we highlighted the importance of security measures that industries must implement in the face of current cybersecurity threats.
